That’s what this trailer for the Free Fall pre-order DLC incentive seems to be shouting, as Activision try to muscle in on Battlefield 4’s key multiplayer feature, massively changing environments in multiplayer maps. To be fair, Call of Duty: Ghosts’ new map looks like a hell of a lot of fun too.
Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin, is pretty excited about the new map: “It [the new map] introduces our new mechanic, dynamic maps – this idea of bringing that sort of cinematic single player experience to multiplayer. You’re playing in a building that is falling over and is wedged between two other buildings. The floor you’re on is actually the glass windows from the side of the building so you see this world in a very topsy-turvy sense as it’s plummeting down to the streets below.”
The pre-order map will be available from multiple outlets in the US. European console gamers face a one-store exclusive policy in each territory though, with Game being the only option for UK gamers. Game are giving you the chance to play The Last of Us up to a month before release at one of their after hours lock in events. This time they’re hosting the game at 75 stores, many more than previous events. There’s a strong chance one of your local stores is running one of them, so when not give them a call, tweet or drop in to reserve a spot free of charge. Attendees must be over 18, so take some ID if you’re likely to get carded.
The demo you’ll get to play is going to be brand new and will be different from the one that will unlock with God of War: Ascension on May 31st. If you’re looking to ease the pain of a pricey purchase for a Wii U or PS Vita this Christmas, why not take advantage of Game’s temporary offer? They’re offering an extra 33% value on the price of their trade-ins on the following consoles: Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, PS2, PSP, Wii, DS and 3DS.
The offer expires on November 15th, which falls short of the Wii U’s November 30th release date. However, you can always put the trade-in credit on a card to redeem at a later date, i.e. launch day.

Despite closing nearly half of their stores earlier this year, new GAME Retail CEO Martyn Gibbs says they are planning on opening new stores in an interview with MCV.
“There have been a few closures, but in time there will be some openings as well and there will be a few new stores. We will announce these as we go.”
This may come as surprising news to many people, especially seeing as it was largely acknowledged that the company had too many stores. Take a small city like Preston, three GAME stores and a Gamestation.
