Enric Alvarez, Director of the recent Castlevania: Lords of shadow 2, has publicly lashed out against the low scores his game has received since launch, even going as far as to call Edge’s 4/10 review “blind”, “stupid” and “totally unfair.”“One must be blind or stupid to give it a 4/10 for a game of this quality. With a 4/10, people interpret it is a crappy game, badly done, it breaks, with mechanics that do not work, with some awful graphics.” Continue reading Castlevania Director Lashes Out At Low Review Scores →

We can’t wait for Lords of Shadow 2 here at Dealspwn and it looks like Mercury Steam haven’t run out of ideas for ruddy huge boss fights yet either if this new gameplay video is anything to go by.
This multi-part boss fights sees ol’ pasty face take on a transforming enemy that begins as a lance-wielding knight before going on to become a snake and then a large mechanical puppet-bot. Time to brush on those dodging skills as this could be a tough one. Fingers crossed there are some checkpoints along the way as this isn’t the shortest of battles, but then again, the best ones never are. If you read my hands-on preview of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 a few weeks ago you may be interested to take a look at my new hands-on preview video. Taking place at what may turn out to be the first stage of the game, you’ll see a variety of new weapons in action such as the Void Sword and the Cestus Claws. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is looking to end the Lords of Shadow saga in style early next year. Although, if you’re yet to play any of the series, I’d advise staying away from this trailer as it gives away the endings for the first game and Mirrors of Fate. Speaking of Mirrors of Fate, which was originally a 3DS game, I’ll have a review of the HD remake for you later on today. While you’re waiting, check out my recent hands-on preview of Lords of Shadow 2. Continue reading Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Trailer Ups the Drama →

First things first. This hands-on report will be spoiler-free regarding the first game. I’m currently playing that one through (I know, I’m late) and several previews for the new game have blown the first game’s ending. I don’t want to do the same if you’re yet to play Lords of Shadow. So read this, then get on it, you don’t want to get left behind again.
The word on the wire is that this concluding part of the Lords of Shadow saga is going to be a more open world affair. That’s not on display here though as this is more of an introduction. Don’t worry; it’s much more exciting than it sounds. There’s a massive, Holy Transformer thing for starters! But more on that later.
