“The Force is strong with this one.” Or is it? I really can’t decide if the new Darth Vader flavoured PS4 console looks great or tacky. The new controller and its effort to incorporate ol smokey’s suit buttons is seriously hard to look at though (see below). There’s more than a paint job though, Star Wars fans. Let’s take a look at what else is bundled with the new PS4.
The PS4 itself will be a 1TB model and feature an image of the classic Star Wars villain along with a repeated logo design. Surprisingly, there will also be a digital voucher for an additional four ‘Classic’ Star Wars games including, Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. All of the games will be sporting enhanced graphics and Trophy support. We’re not too sure about the ‘Classic’ status though.
There will be two bundles available with the above content. Naturally, there’s a Battlefront one with a physical copy of Star Wars: Battlefront -the Deluxe Edition according to the image on the PS Blog. The younger Star Wars fan has been thought of too as another bundle swaps out Battlefront for a Disney Infinity 3.0 hardware package. This includes a physical copy of Disney Infinity 3.0, Disney Infinity base, Rise Against the Empire Playset Pack (Luke and Leia figures + Rise Against the Empire playset piece), and the PlayStation exclusive Boba Fett figure.
If you don’t fancy the Star Wars paint job, there will be a standard bundle (hard drive size TBA) including Battlefront and the voucher for the four Classic titles.
Prices have not been confirmed yet, but we expect the Limited Edition console may be priced a bit higher than regular bundles. The saving of bundling in one of the aforementioned games may make it a close thing though. Naturally, we’ll be hunting down the best deal for you.
